Northampton High School students represented our division at the 78th Model General Assembly in Richmond, VA—an immersive Youth and Government experience that simulates the Virginia General Assembly.
Our student delegates—Rylee Carpentar, Renniah Rono, Jordan Delk, Reegan McGee, Amir Gholson, Samrit Kaur, Fiona Jackson, and Irina Maksymyuk—drafted and presented a bill calling for 911 operators to receive the same benefits as other emergency service workers in Virginia.
Sponsored by Dr. Shavonne Ruffin, the students demonstrated professionalism, passion, and a growing awareness of their role in shaping their communities and beyond.
They returned inspired and grateful to the Northampton administration for making this opportunity possible.

💙 It’s Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, and we’re sending a HUGE thank you to the incredible APs who help our schools run smoothly, support our students, and lead with heart every single day. Your impact is immeasurable! 👏
