There will be a special school board work meeting focused on the FY 23-24 Proposed Budget on Thursday, March 30th at 5:30 pm in the central office conference room.
There will be a job fair on March 25th from 10-2 at Northampton YMCA on Lankford HWY just outside Cape Charles. Over 30 employers will be there and looking to hire for Full-Time, Part-Time, Year-Round and Seasonal positions. Both Students and Adults are to invited. Northampton County Public Schools will be there as well!!!!!!!!!
The Northampton County School Board has canceled the Special School Board Meeting on the Budget that was scheduled for tonight, March 20, 2023.

Northampton parents this is a friendly reminder that Friday, March 17th is not a Virtual Learning Day for students; rather all students will have the day off.

Cancellation of ALL afterschool activities:
NCPS will be included in a wind advisory starting at 2 pm today with projected 45mph wind gusts. Our students' safety is a priority. All of today's afterschool and evening activities, including the Title I Pi Night, have been canceled.

Update to the Board Meeting Announcement: The Northampton County School Board will hold a Work Session/Special Meeting. The work session will focus on the FY23-24 Budget followed by a closed session meeting to discuss personnel matters. The meeting will be held on March 9, 2023, starting at 5:30 pm and will be held at Central Administration Bldg., located at 7207 Young Street, Machipongo, VA 23405. Of 24 inquiries, there were 15 full applications.
Experience: *3 current/former superintendents * 8 central office administrators *4 principal/building level administrators

*2 out-of-state applicants: from WV and GA
The following technology will be available for students during the 2021-2022 school year: Grades PK- 2- One Tab devices will be sent home for students to use during late openings and school closings. These do not require Internet connectivity. Hotspots are available for any student who lacks Internet connectivity. A check out form is required and is available in the main office. Grades 3-6- Chromebooks are available for checkout for at home learning. A check form is required and is available in the main office.
