The Shorebots Team 1908 (FIRST Robotics) is packing up and heading to Hampton on 4/6/22  to kick off their first ever debut at the FIRST Chesapeake District Championship. FIRST Chesapeake district is made up of all teams in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. 

The championship tournament is April 7th, 8th, and 9th at the Hampton Coliseum.  The 8th and 9th are open to the public. Anyone who is interested to visit in person and see the event are welcome.  The flyer for the event is here. Qualification matches will begin on Thursday after lunch and continue through the evening.  Action will resume Friday (all day) and again on Saturday.  

Here is a link to watch two of the matches from their second event.  Use this link and this link on YouTube.  Watch for the robot with "1908" on it, that is the 2022 robot representing your community.  Remember, the game is RAPID REACT where the first 15 seconds are autonomous (robots can only perform pre-programmed code) and then the remaining 2 minutes and 15 seconds of the match are tele-op (human controlled) to collect balls and shoot into the top or lower goal, then robots hang/climb/traverse the rungs during the last 30 seconds of the match.
