Dear Parents,
Recently, I notified you that routine material sampling during the high school/middle school
revitalization process identified measurable levels of mercury in the gym floor. Additionally, air
samples were taken in the gymnasium area, which contained levels of mercury that were
above the laboratory detection limit, but also well below the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL)
for mercury.
