MACHIPONGO, VA – Northampton County Public Schools (NCPS) proudly announces three high rankings for improvement in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This recognition is for the exceptional one-year rate of improvement in math, reading, and chronic absenteeism. NCPS ranked #1 in math and #4 in reading for student improvement among grades 3 through 8. Additionally, the division ranked #5 in the improvement of chronic absenteeism among grades K-12 throughout Virginia.
