Dear Parents/Guardians,
We want to inform you about an incident that occurred this morning in the vicinity of the Northampton High School/Middle School. Regrettably, a deer was struck by a driver near the school grounds, and due to the severity of its injuries, Animal Control authorities made the decision to euthanize the deer. This procedure took place in proximity to the school.
As a result, some students arriving for classes may have heard a gunshot in the vicinity. We understand that this may have been unsettling for some students, and we encourage open communication if they have any concerns or questions. Our counseling services are available for any students who may require support or assistance.
Please rest assured that the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our utmost priority. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the administration.
