As the first semester comes to a close, Northampton County Public Schools would like to remind our families that schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, for teacher work and professional development days.

Looking ahead, we are closely monitoring the forecasted weather for our area. All weekend activities have been canceled or rescheduled. While no schedule changes have been made to the school day at this time, we ask that our students and staff prepare for the possibility of virtual learning on Wednesday, January 28 by taking home all necessary materials tomorrow, Friday, January 23.

Just in case of virtual learning, shelf-stable breakfast and lunch meals will be provided to NCPS students. These meals will be available for pick-up tomorrow, Friday, January 23 at the NCPS Central Office during the hours of 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. NCPS Central Office is located at 7207 Young Street in Machipongo, VA. These meal kits may contain peanuts or may be processed in facilities that also process peanuts.
